City of Eastvale History
In the year 1834, the government of Mexico had taken over Spain’s missions, and also was in full control over the land of Native Americans and Spaniards. In the effort to colonize the territory, boost farming, and raise livestock, the government gave out land grants to prominent and affluent Mexican Politicians.
Subsequently in 1853, California created the San Bernardino and San Diego counties. Later in 1893, Riverside County was established, and during one of the initial meetings of the County Board of Commissioners, the city of Eastvale was listed as one of 53 school districts.
Around the 1950’s, the Los Angeles population had extended into distant farm lands, and dairymen began to move their activities into the valley. Dairies in Eastvale, and others alike in Chino Valley and Ontario, were then possessed and operated principally by Dutch and Portuguese clans. Currently, Eastvale’s continuing dairy families are comprised of the Leals, Bootsmas, Van Leeuwens, and the Godinhos, and all of whom are still celebrated in the city to this day.
Around the spring of 2007, five personalities were tasked by inhabitants to explore more of Eastvale. Presently, two of the five are on the Eastvale City Council, and are named Jeff DeGrandpre and Kelly Howell. In cooperation with three other council associates, Adam Rush, Ric Welch, and Ike Bootsma, these individuals are set to lead the city of Eastvale into the next stage.
All these men and women have been fully active in making the city truly enjoyable today for all of its residents and visitors.
